It's getting to that time of year where we can start putting away the woolly jumpers (though somewhere to hand as one thing you can't trust in England is the weather) and bring back in the spring colors and dresses.
I try to go through my wardrobe often, to make room for new clothes and split up with clothes I have emotional attachment to that are just not working it anymore, it's a hard break up - the clothes you knew just arent the same fresh color as you once knew, but if we needed anymore of an excuse to go shopping, we've got another.
As a fan of charity shopping, I take all my unwanted clothes to a charity shop to be put to some use. However, I had two maxi pieces that had a really cute design, but I'm just not a huge fan of maxi dresses/skirts anymore. The attachment was too much, so instead I tried cutting them into a shorter length.
Best to cut it a little long first in case you go a bit wild and end up with some serious butt cheek show. I also tried the middle, skinnier piece of material as a head band (until I accidentally threw it out the next day..)
Both of these are flowy so the fact they aren't cut in a complete straight line isn't as big of a deal. But now I have two revamped pieces that'll be put to use instead of being left in the side of my wardrobe. Happy days
